Our precision CNC machined pendants are an instant staple in the Ti Project set of offerings. These are hand polished on the front face as well as the surrounding edge, and have a beautiful radial brush finish on the back. The artwork is sublimated on a metallic disk, which is press fit into the machined body. The art catches the light in a similar way as holographic collectible gaming cards, and really pops at certain angles.
These pendants are designed to be classy and elegant. Measuring in at just 0.95 inches (24.2 mm) in diameter (this is the diameter of a US quarter) and 0.182 inches (4.65 mm) thick and weighing just 0.1 ounces (5 g), these make a statement without screaming for attention.
There are also a set of choices for the material the pendants are machined out of. Our available material options are aerospace grade 5 titanium, black zirconium, Damascus steel, crystalized titanium, and superconductor.
- Aerospace Grade 5 Titanium is our default material choice, and is an alloy where titanium is combined with aluminum and vanadium. It is used in aircraft and spacecraft applications due to its superior corrosion resistance, high strength to weight ratio, and superior weldability.
- Zirconium is known for its superior corrosion resistance, and since it does not absorb neutrons, it is used in nuclear power plant applications. It has a unique property that allows it to turn jet black after a heat treatment process, giving it a classy stealth look for these pendants.
- Damascus Steel is formed by continuously folding the steel during the forging process, adding tremendous strength characteristics. Blades made with Damascus steel tend to keep their edges, and are harder than their iron counterparts. Damascus steel is instantly recognizable from the wavy fold patterns in the metal.
- Crystalized Titanium has incredible durability, strength, and hardness, making it an ideal candidate for blade making as well. It has a stunning aesthetic where the crystalline pattern shows with a set of greens, golds, magentas, and some blues as well that shine at different angles in the light. It is a truly unique material that is highly premium and exclusive.
- Superconductor is perhaps our most sci-fi material option available. Made from pure copper containing titanium-niobium strands flowing through the core, these large wires are used in MRI machines, magnetic levitation vehicle systems, motors/generators for large ships and aircraft, and more. This material has truly insane properties. When below the critical temperature, superconductors have ZERO electrical resistance and therefore infinite conductivity and they completely block magnetic fields below a certain strength. This material has an unmistakable look when machined into these pendants, really showing off beauty of the copper and the titanium-niobium strands that follow the form of the pendant body.
These pendants can come with or without the chains, which are stainless steel silver colored 3mm thick 20" long chains.
